I was not sure how much output to expect but this thing really puts out a lot of air – on all 3 settings. This is another solid tool in the M12 lineup. This thing puts out a surprising amount of air. In at least two respects, this M12 fan with its 360 degree head rotation and its multiple mounting options is preferable to the M18 version. Since I have more M12 tools than batteries, I will need to borrow a battery.

The only drawback is that it is tool-only. The top of the fan has a hand hold which makes it easy to carry.

This fan should help make the area more workable whenever it is warm outside. Where we will use it most is in the garden prep area of our storage room which can get rather warm in the summer. What really sets it apart though it that it can be mounted in so many ways: by a screw, by a magnet, by a pass-through hole, or what I liked best, with a spring loaded clamp that can be attached to anything up to 2" thick. It has a fuel gauge on the front which illuminates for the first couple of seconds after the fan is turned on. The fan rotates 360 degrees so that it may be aimed wherever desired. First, the fan has three speed settings which provide up to 14 MPH and 400 CFM which can be felt at some distance. The Milwaukee M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Jobsite Fan (Tool-Only) is well-designed and much more versatile than I was expecting.

You won't realize how versatile this is until you have it. Milwaukee's engineers designed ingenious useful features into this wonderful small fan. It's so convenient and literally makes staying cool "a breeze." -) I bring this along for cookouts, camping, boating and fishing. So it's easy to re-position for every situation. With the small M12 battery installed it remains lightweight, ( less than < 5 pounds! ) yet stands balanced at any angle. The simple one-knob / 3-settings operation is great. It hides behind a stage-monitor discreetly and doesn't usurp another precious power outlet. Because it's cordless, it doesn't need an outlet and can't interfere with sensitive audio equipment like cheap corded-fans. A blast of cooling air is welcome and helps keep mosquitos away. Summer nights get hot under stage lights. faster and safer than using your face!Īnother convenient use is on stage while playing in my weekend-warrior rock band. Need to get a big bonfire going? Use this to aim a steady low breeze right where you need it. This helps keep those fumes away and dissipates them quickly. Super glue exudes toxic fumes as it cures. I often use cyanoacrylate glues in my craft hobbies. On the lowest setting it's nice and quiet, so it doesn't distract from my concentration. Because it's so small it doesn't get in the way. One way I use it is to blow toxic fumes away from my face when soldering. Powerful magnets hold it securely to duct work, even hanging upside down! That could be useful for HVAC technicians or auto-mechanics working near hot engines. The spring-loaded steel base extends to grip a door or 2x4 and it will even stay in place while hanging sideways! (see photo) It can hang upside-down from a window sill or door jam.

Clever features make this super versatile and convenient, plus it moves a LOT of air for its size! It's only 8" wide by 13" tall.
